Limbo and onions and golf, oh my! In the TAR7 finale, Romber's Fern proved to be their undoing. Speaking of undone, how's that relationship Ron & Kelly? Uchenna & Joyce gave us a feel-good, come-from-behind win – and even paid the cab driver.
Steve & Dave’s Note: we had every intention of writing this within a week of the finale. Unfortunately Steve decided that then was his chance to, “finally make it big on Broadway” and headed off to California.
The final leg of the race sends teams on an onion-chopping, club-swinging, bridge-jumping, cigar-hunting, cabbie-stiffing trek from Jamaica to Fort Lauderdale by way of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The penultimate leg sends the three remaining teams from London further west to Jamaica. Clearly “around” ain’t what it used to be.
It's two hours of arguing, whining, smirking, praying and (depending on what side you are on) karma smacking or airline hindering.
Culturally, Jamaica is closer to Africa than to its geographic neighbors in the Caribbean or to the British, who historically governed the island.
Well, it’s all been said and done, but I still made some predictions before the end. All these predictions were witnessed by several other TARflies, so nothing has been altered, except maybe perception.
