The Devil Made Me Do It
Original Airdate: 05.03.2005
I spy with my London Eye… Racers cursing at double decker buses. Rob, Amber, Ron and Kelly take a flight gamble and come out on top. It's not so good for Meredith & Gretchen as their journey comes to an end.
They may have preferred a little Mel Torme, but pseudostudent sends Meredith & Gretchen off to Sequesterville to the tune of a Beatles song.
Here’s an idea – why don’t we do a whole column of “Find Romber”?
London calls to the Racers and they answer with, well, racing. Rob & Amber and Ron & Kelly manage to make up the time lost during the last leg, so this leg is a race for last between Uchenna & Joyce and Meredith & Gretchen.
It’s a week full of reversals. The race continues its backward progress, this time from Istanbul to London, while last week’s flip-flop of the leading and trailing pairs recurs.
It's time for the penultimate Amazing Race 7 Rant.
M. Darcy checks in with books, movies and TV shows that are related to England.
Ok, last week I was wrong. Really wrong.
Double-decker red buses, the Thames River, the British Museum, Harrods, the tube, the royals, fish and chips, Westminster Abbey, street markets, the Tower, pubs, crazy pigeons, Speaker’s Corner…London has something for everyone.
I am not exactly an Anglophile (for that, see the culture report!), but I’ve never understood the disdain some people have for British food.
