Tea and Tin
Hmmm . . . Well, what can I say? Should I make my predictions of who is going to be first since CBS has decided to keep us in suspense the whole damn week! I was disappointed with the episode before this one, so I should say that I thought this episode was on the right track. It feels as if the teams are tired and just want each leg of the Race to be over, so I kinda like that this leg plays with their minds in the middle of the Race. It's all a part of the game. Anyway, it seems as if there is no stopping Rob & Amber-yep, I hate to say it, but they are the luckiest damn people I have ever seen in my life. The next three teams, Ron & Kelly, Uchenna & Joyce, and Lynn & Alex, are all doing well, and it's hit and miss with them. Unfortunately, Meredith & Joyce are running out of steam. NO! NO! Don't give up yet. I am completely impressed with how far they have gotten. Who knows? I guess we will have to wait 'till Tuesday to see what happens . . .
Rob & Amber: What can I say, they are no nonsense. Rob said it right from the beginning: "We need to stay focused." He's right. This team is in it to win it, although they are so damn lucky, I can't believe it! Rob found the clue box instantly, and Amber found the clue in the tin boxes quicker than I could imagine. OH, and Rob is so demanding of the locals-I just can't stand that. He grabs anyone and says, "Come with me," and, of course, they are right there doing what he says. I was kinda surprised at Rob when he laughed about Ron & Kelly not Yielding him and Amber and then said they were "not the brightest bulbs!" Watch out, Ron & Kelly. Well, Rob & Amber are smart, using EVERY source they can, and are lucky as hell . . . when are they going to get a tough break?
Ron & Kelly: I thought these guys started doing much better. They hustled, and they didn't seem to fight too much until the situation got stressful. They definitely have to make decisions quicker and stop arguing with each other about who is right and who is wrong . . . just do it. I think they were smart not to Yield Rob & Amber; the timing just wasn't right. I still think these guys are the wild card.
Uchenna & Joyce: I think they hit their stride and are going to do some moving up. They are thinking ahead. It was smart of them to ask on the plane about the taxis while all the other teams bunched up. They got their taxi and took off. Nice going! I am feeling a good vibe for these guys and think they are finally on their way! Woohoo!
Lynn & Alex: Ok, they were definitely smart to call the travel agency, but, obviously, they didn't get the earliest flight. They should have asked again and again and again . . . They did a great job catching up. Oh, and what's with all that fanning that Lynn is doing all the time? LOL It's cracking me up. I just wish these guys would get through the tasks quicker. I always feel like they slow down. Come on, guys, move it!
Meredith & Gretchen: These two need to hurry, hurry, and hurry. No more stopping to sign autographs or take pictures-you are in a race! I really hope that they aren't just giving up and hoping this is a non-elimination leg. It seems as if they are worn out physically and emotionally. C'mon, guys, don't stop now after all you've been through! Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! And stop acting as if the tasks are impossible; start thinking positive. When Gretchen said, "I am going to be here all night," I got so upset with her. Well, I hope they continue, but it seems like they are always in the rear.
Well, everyone, it is definitely getting to cut-throat time. This part of leg 7 brought back lots of memories for me, like being on a flight and not seeing other teams there, thinking, what happened? Did we screw up? Also, it's really not a good idea to group up. You saw what a mess the taxi situation was. Ugh, I just want to see some of the front runner teams get tripped up a bit, some bad luck for Rob & Amber: A flat tire? Running out of gas? Anything to give them a taste of desperation for crying out loud. OH, and I still CAN NOT STAND EVERYONE SAYING, "WE ARE IN A RACE!!!" Sheesh. Ok, folks, can't wait to see what happens . . . hmm, I kinda think it's a non-elimination, though. Well, I guess we will see . . .
