Astrological Predictions – Episode Eleven

More and more, between the way he's running the Race and the way his casts have been coming up, I believe that Colin dropped his expectations of the Race after the first couple of legs.
Colin Uranus/Scorpio/8th House
and
Christie Uranus/Cancer/1st House

More and more, between the way he's running the Race and the way his casts have been coming up, I believe that Colin dropped his expectations of the Race after the first couple of legs. By that I mean that he no longer planned on anything being the same as it has been in any of the previous Races, and that his strategy is now to not worry about what's ahead of his current task. He doesn't even count on bunching to even things up, though, which means that he gets upset when it looks like they may fall out of the lead. Once again, his cast indicates openness to change (Uranus); focus and drive (Scorpio); and vitality (Eighth House). He assesses each situation as it arises, makes a choice, and carries it out with all the energy it requires. It's not completely rosy for him, though. The Eighth House also rules misfortune. It's going to once again be a leg that he's got to fight for.

Christie also remains open to the new experiences, and isn't fazed by them; she doesn't waste time or energy bemoaning the fact that it isn't like home, and that's one of her great strengths. (It's also, I believe, one of the reasons that Killer Fatigue doesn't seem to have hit her as hard as it has Nicole.) Cancer is, once again, one of the strongest (if not the strongest) signs to indicate tenaciousness. She isn't going to back down from a challenge if it stands between her and what she wants. Her First House is Self and image, so look for the "Christie takes charge" storyline to continue. They'll do well, but not perfectly, and come

second to the mat

Linda Mars/Taurus/7th House
and
Karen Mercury/Leo/5th House

The Bowling Moms both have solid casts for this week, and it looks like they are going to continue to take advantage of other people's mistakes. (Mars is a somewhat adversarial planet; it can indicate measuring yourself against others; and Mercury is the planet that rules business dealings. With both of these in the cast, the Moms won't let sympathy get in the way of the Race.)
Linda's Taurus is a determined, stubborn sign that won't quit easily.
Linda's Taurus is a determined, stubborn sign that won't quit easily. On the other hand, Taurus does like its comfort. Linda may be getting a bit worn down physically by all the travel. Her Seventh House is the house of relationships of all kinds, including open enmity; I'll refer all the way back to their pre-race cast and say that she'll be blindsided when a team that they weren't expecting hits them with the Yield. Mars and Taurus mean that she'll wait out the hourglass, fretting, and then set out to try to make up the time.

Karen's Mercury is the ruling sign of spoken communication. Like last week, what she hears is going to be very important (from the New Zealand airport spoiler, the Moms got correct directions to Rotorua, and they got them straight, before they left the airport, unlike Chip & Kim and Ka*i). Maybe it's a Mom thing, but Karen knows how to listen. Leo's inclination to pride and dignity indicate that she'll either fall afoul of them (by refusing to do something "beneath " her -- nah, I don't think so,) or will use them to spur herself and Linda on ( in much the same way as the "Your kids are going to be -sooo- impressed!" comment during the sledging worked). Mercury also indicates that a young man may be of some importance, somehow. It could be positive or negative, helping or obstructing them. Considering that Brandon has Gemini as his sign, and Gemini is ruled by Mercury (additionally, Brandon is the youngest man still in the Race), I think that Brandon is going to be the young man in question, and he's going to be the Yield-wielder. The Fifth House is pretty neutral, it indicates joy and pleasure, as well as ruling any gambling that might occur. In this case, Karen's still excited, and still willing to take a risky option. Combine that with Linda's Mars (also a gambler) and there may be another episode of high-risk/high-reward play from them both.

They'll drop a place, though, and be
third to the mat.

Brandon Jupiter/Gemini/5th House
and
Nicole North Node/Aries/12th House

Nicole's still pushing on through; the Killer Fatigue may not be terribly evident, but North Node (what you believe you should be or want to be, your goals for yourself) and Aries (won't quit -- just won't give up!) combine to point at going on because she has to, not because she wants to. She's still no Flo; she won't be whining and crying, but she may be a bit, well, a bit -grim- about the whole thing. This leg, that fatigue is going to lead to a mistake (the Twelfth House: misfortune brought on yourself). It won't be a Race-fatal mistake, but it will be a mistake, and it will cost something to recover. Aries isn't very good at taking direction, so perhaps she'll make a bobble in the execution of a task, or garble some directions. Whatever it is, it won't end the Race for them.
Brandon, on the other hand, is still having a grand time (Jupiter: travel, enjoyment of life, good humor, and optimism in general; and the Fifth House: pleasure and joy).
Brandon, on the other hand, is still having a grand time (Jupiter: travel, enjoyment of life, good humor, and optimism in general; and the Fifth House: pleasure and joy). He'll also, like Karen, be open to taking a chance of gambling on an uncertain outcome. Gemini is the multi-tasker of the Zodiac, which is a good thing because he's got two things to take care of now. The first is running the Race. The second is keeping Nicole going. He's going to have to devote energy to both of them. His Gemini also dovetails neatly with Karen's Mercury, which make me think that he'll opt to Yield the Moms when he gets the chance. He's not really used to having them in front of him. But it won't save him and Nicole from being

last to the mat in the final non-elimination leg.

Chip Saturn/Virgo/7th House
and
Kim Pluto/Leo/1st house

Kim, one of the two Racers who didn't get hit with Pluto last week, gets it this week. In combination with the other two aspects, I think that it means that she needs to step to the front a bit more, take some of the spotlight off of Chip (Leo), and use some of the less dominant factors in her personality (First House: self-awareness, and what you prefer to be). She knows what she's capable of, she just hasn't been pushing it, since Chip is happy to be front and center and, apparently, in charge. She needs to push it now, because Chip's cast is one of those "It's either very good or very bad," combinations.
He's been sloppy and he's been careless in both reading and following instructions.
I'm going with very bad. His Saturn/Virgo combination points to attention to detail, and precision in action. Neither of them has been particularly a strong point for him in the past. He's been sloppy and he's been careless in both reading and following instructions. The Seventh House is once again relationships. He's consistently made decisions based on "nice" or "not-nice." (Why didn't you Yield Ka*i last week, Chip? Was it because you didn't want them mad at you again? Because they were standing right there, giving you puppy-dog eyes?)

I think that this week we'll see "Chip & Kim" turn into "Kim & Chip" as she takes firm (but probably temporary) control of the team. Can she turn them around? I think so, but I do wish I could hedge on this prediction. If it works, it'll work beautifully. If it doesn't, they'll crash badly. Still, she's got a lot of years of managing him under her belt, so I'll go with “it works” and put them

First to the mat.

First to the mat: Chip and Kim

Second: Colin and Christie

Third: Linda and Karen (Yielded)

Last (but not out): Brandon and Nicole (Yielders)
