That being said, I was surprised by Lance and Marshall, I really thought they were gonna be the comic relief. Hmmmm. It seems to me that the race is wearing their wits down. And one of them doesnít look to up for anything strenuous!
Chip and Kim: WOW, I really like these two, especially Chip. He is truly being who he is. He showed it when helped the twins and Brandon...jeez kinda reminded me of Jon and me. Everyone always asked us WHY did you help? I simply explained you canít change who you are... I hope these two go far . . . they deserve it!
Colin and Christie: smart and very aggressive, making some really, really smart moves and keeping ahead of the other teams. Going to a travel agent was an awesome move... I just hope they donít argue and get mad at each other or let other teams get in the way of their goal!
Brandon and Nicole: Not sure what to make of these guys ..always keeping up with the pack and showing they could do anything. I have to admit they are sneakier than I thought and I donít know . . . it may just be me, but when they say things like ďI donít want to drink because itís not the right thing to do spiritually"...well, what about the other things they do? Are they compromising their selves and their pride etc. for the race??? The race definitely can be run without compromising your values.
Charla and Mirna: I absolutely love Charla!! She is positive and goes for it! Works her ass off and overcomes all the obstacles. I think Mirna needs to step up to the plate a bit more. These two are smart with their choices and not giving up and always looking for other options...good for them!
Kami and Karli: very athletic, very capable, but they need to be sooooo careful not to just go at a recordbreaking pace and make mistakes. Itís so easy to rush because you donít want to be last, but racing like that definitely can put you from second to last to last. They were very lucky Chip helped them!
Linda & Karen: UHOH... no more money?? Hmmm interesting little twist I wish they had that when we were on the show!!!! Very positive fun team . . . I think they might be able to pull off getting through this next leg of the race....
I loved seeing them go to Russia....I was in St. Pete and have friends there and communication could be very difficult.. I loved the caviar task...too funny! I am sure the editing really played it up. Letís see, what else . . . the flights. I find it soooo interesting that Charla and Mirna always get a break and I donít know about them getting all the way over to those camels and horses in three minutes. I am not saying anything, but remember, you can ask or beg people from other countries to just wait for a few more minutes. Thereís no one but the racers and their camera crew . . . no producers or anyone there telling the camel guys ďokay, itís 5:30, you are now officially closed.Ē Just my opinion from my experience.
Chip and Kim were definitely the good guys on this leg!! Wow, Chip really, really helped out a lot. Good for him...hopefully, good guys get breaks some times. I can definitely see that itís coming to the point where the racers are starting to go ďwow, this is fun and all, but damn I am not getting much sleep and I am exhausted and my brain is getting a little fried.Ē Lance and Marshall ...one of them is hurting and thatís not good, especially when it is so visible to the other racers. I am almost willing to bet that this pit stop is going to be a 36 hour rest ....they have a few each race. We will definitely know if Lance and Marshall seem well-rested and moving along better. I also think something is going to be added to dwindle down Colin and Christieís lead. They wonít let that lead stand because it will not make the rest of the race as interesting. Mark my words, whether it is a time of operation or certain task or specific flight or boat that doesnít leave for HOURS and HOURS ... the ever wonderful equalizer.
